Jingle bells, batman smells, robin laid an egg....stress is in the air!

It's that time of year again! The signs are everywhere: commercials on TV, crazy sales at the mall, the twinkling lights all around as you drive home. Everybody gets caught up in the rush right before America's biggest holiday, Christmas!

However, as the years have passed by and times have changed, each holiday season is more frantic than the one before. Mrs. Adkins said her biggest worry is "forgetting to shop for someone on my list" while Mrs. Csonka's biggest worry is the weather, because she has to drive 3 hours to Hartford, Michigan to see her family. Neither Mrs. Adkins or Mrs. Csonka are very worried about getting good deals for the people on their Christmas lists, but they both agree that deals are nice. All the teachers in the building and adults in the community have some sort of worry this holiday season, whether it's forgetting to buy a gift for someone, traveling across the state in terrible weather, or just having everything run smoothly this Christmas. But despite all the worries and panic of preparing the perfect parties and getting the best gifts, we all hope that your Christmas holiday is safe and enjoyable!

American Idol Goes Into 10th Season With New Changes

American Idol launches it's 10th season after break. But, there are a few changes to the show. The show has two new judges, Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith member, Steven Tyler, and the only original judge still on the pannel, Randy Jackson. Reportedly, Paula Abdul left after season eight because FOX was paying host, Ryan Seacrest, more than her. Ellen DeGeneres quit the show after only one season because she claims that she doesn't like hurting others by sending them away and that it's too much for her. "Mean" judge, Simon Cowell, left the show after season nine to judge for an American version of the show X-Factor. And finally, Kara DioGuardi got fired from the show after season nine for reasons unknown.
How are you finding these changes? Let us know!

Saving Our Snow Days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are having all of the possible summer days important to you? Well if the weather keeps striking this severely, causing our school to close, then we will have to subtract days from our summer. We have already used one out of our three possible snow days! To learn more about this disliked rule I talked to Mrs. Alessandrini. We wondered if the Arabic Holiday, Eid Alatha, affected our three possible snow days, and she informed us that the Holiday did not count against us. So keep on coming snow, just don’t take our summer vacation away!

Bless Others at Riverside Middle School

Each year, WEB sponsors a canned food drive to help out the needy families that go to Riverside Middle School. This drive helps the needy families because it gives them non-perishable goods. If you want to donate, please bring your food donation to your first hour teacher. RMS does this so families that having trouble feeding their children, just like you, can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We only have around 1,000 cans, which is good, but it is 2,000 less then what we had last year. Anybody can bring in canned goods like the student body, teacher, and administration. Canned food drive ends on Thursday, December 9, 2010.
